Who We Are
Our story
Hey there, we're Mabel & Cameron!
Two Outer Banks Locals - Cameron was born & raised in Hatteras Village, while Mabel hails from Manteo. We were married right here in Hatteras and long talked about wanting to open a spot where locals and visitors could cool off with a fun treat.
In 2024, after a lot of searching, we purchased Hatteras Island Toys with one vision in mind - turn it into our dream fro-yo shop. With the help of our amazing locals (and many visitors!) we completely cleared out all the toys and got to work.
After an extensive top to bottom restoration we opened our doors in the spring of 2025 and had an amazing first season. Reel Swirly has already become a staple in our local community and we love welcoming everyone through our doors!
